How do I hire Parlour Room Events?
Once we receive an inquiry from a potential client, it is our policy to give you a proposal for event planning services which outlines what we’re going to deliver and what it will cost. We will send you a contract and once we receive your signed copy, we begin working for you.
Why hire an event planner instead of just doing the work myself?
We deliver successful events, unique concepts, quickly, and that means great value and a fair price for you. We manage everything behind the scenes so you’re free to network and socialize with your guests.
Can your company handle a large event given that you’re a boutique company?
Absolutely. We have over 13 years of event experience and during that time, we’ve planned hundreds events for just as many organizations. We have a roster of dozens of contract support staff, bartenders, servers, volunteers and others waiting in the wings, and we increase the size of our team as events require.
Is there a benefit to hiring a small company like yours over a larger one?
Being boutique means our team is knee-deep and hands-on with every aspect of your event. We develop concepts, manage implementation and navigate every step in between. It also means you’re one of a few clients at a time, not dozens, we’ll be as invested in your success as you are.
I can do some of the planning myself (or my team can). Can I hire you to help us with just some things, rather than everything?
We tailor our services to meet your needs. We advise our clients to budget for having us on-site to troubleshoot during the event. Whether it’s a missing centrepiece or a fallen dress hem, we excel at resolving hiccups quickly and quietly – so you don’t have to and your guests don’t have to know.
Won’t the hotel/resort/venue provide all of the event planning support I need?
Hotels and other venues do have sales and events staff who will help to ensure the venue meets your needs. But a truly successful event is about so much more than just location. We look at the bigger picture and deliver unforgettable guest experiences.
I have a limited budget. Do you have any connections that could save me money?
Yes! An event planner’s address book is a gold mine. Why should you waste time calling around or searching online when we have all the right contacts on speed dial? In fact, we work with most of our suppliers on a frequent basis, which gives us leverage to shop for the best price.
How much do you charge an hour?
We typically offer our services for fixed prices, rather than hourly rates. We have carefully crafted our pricing structure towards our geographic, demographic and psycho-graphic market and are confident it will meet your expectations.
